Stayed for 1 night whilst vistiting family. Hotel is just as it looks in the pitures.Our room was in the main out bulding, it was large, clean and finished to a high standard. Lots of clean towels and coffee making facilities. The beds were really comfy with fluffy pillows.To be honest this is probally one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in. Usually the main part of the hotel is great and the rooms are a big let down, but this was not the case.We were told upon check in that breakfast was included. Lovely hotel with superb grounds. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would love to stay here again some day.
Last week we stayed in your wonderful hotel. The staff and food were brilliant and you even catered for a member of our party who was a coeliac without problem at all. We had most interaction with Jess and Lewis at the Bar and Lisa on Reception they couldn't do enough for us like most of your staff even after having a late night serving at the wedding reception we attended then on the early morning breakfast shift the next day. We stayed two nights, our rooms where imaculately clean and well presented not at all shabby, it was lovely to have a wide choice of TV channels as most Hotels restrict what channels they have. The Housekeeping Staff where friendly and helpful never to busy to help us. Your grounds and location was perfect for our needs. If I was to make a few suggestions for improvements it would be to have Hot Chocolate sachet's in the room and to have some Gluteen Free bread at Breakfast as it would have been nice to have been able to have toast and jam instead of the full English option.
My husband and I got married at the West Retford Hotel on Friday 15th July. From arriving on the Thursday afternoon we was treated like royalty. Nothing was a problem and the staff serviced our every need. Nick who was in charge on the day of our wedding was an exceptional credit to the hotel making sure everything went exactly as we wanted. Nick is a very thorough member of staff and made me feel that I could relax. Superb food and excellent rooms. I have had so many comments saying that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. People who travelled far and wide also commented in the excellent choice of venue within a great setting.
