Clumber is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800 acres.

Clumber Park was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. Although the house was demolished in 1938, there are glimpses of its grand past to explore – from the Gothic-style chapel, often referred to as a ‘cathedral in miniature’, you can follow in the footsteps of dukes through the peaceful pleasure ground to the Walled Kitchen Garden, where you can experience sights, scents and a taste of the past.

Today Clumber offers freedom to discover a ducal park and provides a haven for wildlife within an idyllic setting.

With 3,800 acres of picturesque parkland and gardens, peaceful woodlands and a magnificent lake to enjoy there is plenty of space to explore and relax with your family and friends.

Not only is Clumber’s mosaic of habitats home to an amazing array of wildlife, it is also a great place to spot it.

“Stunning”

Attended a wedding here in the summer, A stunning little location, the rooms are outstanding quality. It didn’t feel like I was in retford at all, I felt half the world away. It really was beutiful. Very clean and tidy, huge bed and lots of space, having not had lunch before the event I wanted to order room service, unfortunatly this is at limited time, it would be much nicer if it was available 24/7 but it’s under standable that it isn’t. Breakfast was lovely, the reception staff were delightful. I would certainly stop here again, but not with out reason.

“Christmas group meal”

We had a lovely Lunch today . I was one of the group booking of 120. The staff were very helpful and attentive. I think this is the 3rd year we gave visited as a group and it gas been better each time.

“Lovely Weekend”

Lovely room in the Georgian annexe which had just been refurbished. Spacious room with large ensuite – spotlessly clean. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast good but a bit too quick on the service – my food was on the table before I had chance to get my toast. Last time we stayed here it was all buffet style and I think that was better. Would certainly stay here again

Wedding Party – Tripadvisor

We had our wedding party here yesterday after our wedding in St Lucia. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and the communication over the past few months has been faultless.
The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are lovely and clean. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which is really spacious with a big bathroom. My only criticism about the room would be that the radiators were red hot and with temperatures we’ve had this weekend it was uncomfortable getting ready and dressed for the wedding. The four poster bed was very comfortable but very creaky.
Lovely dressing gowns and toiletries provided.
Our guests commended the food at the reception and the breakfast was freshly cooked.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel. Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds
